Heading to London

I am sitting on a train traveling about 125 miles per hour on the way from Edinburgh, Scotland down to London. You have gotta love technology . . there is free Wi-Fi on the train!

Edinburgh was beautiful! We got to watch the Military Tattoo and had great seats for that. Then next day we got to tour the castle, and then went down to the Royal Yacth and walk through and see the inside of that. I wish we had more time in Edinburgh . . . there was so much to see and do. There was a street festival going on while we were there and street performers everywhere!!

Now we are heading down to London and will have tonight, Tuesday, and Wednesday to see as much as we can see in that short period of time!

Last Friday of the Trip

Today is the last Friday of our trip. I am very sad to think that this time next week I will be at home!

BUT . . . this has been the most amazing trip! Here is a quick rundown of what my 2 weeks in England has consisted of:

Wednesday: Boarded the airplane in Kansas City to Chicago . . Then from Chicago heading towards Dublin.

Thursday: We arrived in Dublin, Ireland and took another plane to London, England. Then took a train from London to Derby England where our host families picked up each one of us. Got settled into our house for the next 2 weeks.

Friday: Walked into the town of Belper and explored and shopped and I had my first ever proper "Fish & Chips"! (They were delicious!)

Saturday: Got up and went to Peak camp in Chatsworth.

Sunday - Friday: Camp - - There will be more stories about camp at a later time

Saturday: We packed up our gear and headed back to the host families

Sunday - Friday: We toured all around England! Saw a Football game, got to play Cricket, played golf on a hill side, saw Nottingham and Sherwood Forest, ate at a Pub that was build into a cave and dated back to 1186 I believe!

Today is our last day in Belper, tomorrow we are heading up to Edinburgh, Scotland! I have heard so many things about Scotland, I am very excited to see it!!!

When I get to a computer that I can update pictures to I will have more details!!!

Miss everyone back home . . . . but I am definatelly not ready to come back home!!! I have said MANY times since I have arrived that I am going to loose my passport and stay in England for several more days, weeks or months!!!!
