Today has finally arrived! I am up and hour and a half before my alarm was even set to go off today, but I can't sleep! I have a million things going through my head . . . am I sure that I know where our Passports are (even though I have checked them a hundred times and they haven't moved). Are our suitcases under the 50 lb limit?! Did I get everything packed?! Did I pack all of our MOS costumes?! Is everything back home taken care of when I am gone? Did I pack everything for Devon?!
I am definitely ready to get on the airplane today. Once I am on the plane, as long as Jacob & I have our passports, some spending cash and ourselves . . . nothing else really matters. If something was forgot, we can buy it over there!
I can't even express in words how excited I am for this trip. I have never gotten to experience a trip like this, but so ready to do so!
I want to take the time and thank everybody to has made this trip possible for me!
To my Mom & Dad: Thank you for watching Devon for the next few weeks! I know that he will be in great hands while I am gone and you will make his time home a great experience! I know he is looking forward to spending a few weeks with his Nana & Papa! I love you both so much!! Also, thanks for watching Rosie for me!
To Doug & Tawnia: Thank you so much for letting me have the time off of work to get to have a trip of a lifetime! You are the greatest bosses and friends a person can ask for! I am truly blessed to have you in my life!
To everyone else: Thanks for your well wishes for Jacob & I while we are gone! I can't wait to see everyone when I get back and get to share this experience with you!!!!
Ok, enough rambling . . . time for me to get the final details taken care of and get the heck out of dodge!!!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful next few weeks and I will see you when I return!!!
Love ya all!!!
Stephanie :)

The final week of preparations . . . .
This time next week, we will be on the plane heading for Chicago! I am so excited for this trip I can't even tell you! I am ready to board that plane and get out of town for 3 weeks!
This last week has been more stressful than I care to say! For some reason I kept thinking that I had plenty of time to get everything done before we leave! Boy was I wrong! I have been up to at least midnight every night for a week straight trying to get all the projects done that need to be done! Now, when it is crunch time, I am completely exhausted!
Luckily I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel now! I just have one more big project to finish and that is Jacob's back bustle! Thanks to some of the Boy Scout dad's we got a big chunk of that done on Monday night. All we have left to do is the details and putting it together . . . oh and figuring out how to store it and transport it in Jacob's suitcase without it getting destroyed!
This last week I have made more list than I have my enitre life . . . I have lists that have lists! UGH!! Seriously?!
At this point in the planning, I am just ready to board that plane in Kansas City. Once I board that plane there is nothing more I can do . . . if I left something behind, oh well . . . . if I didn't finish something, oh well! It will be too late at that point and nothing I can do about it! But what I can do is sit back and enjoy the ride . . . the 3 weeks off work . . . the great country that I am going to see . . . awesome new experiences!!
I am looking forward to experience these new things with Jacob! There will be so many new experiences that we will get to experience together . . . those memories will last a life time!! My only regret is that Devon will not be able to experience those with us! I truly hope that in 5 years from now, I will be able to take him to experience this!
If I don't get a chance to talk to everyone before I leave I am sorry ~ I am saying my good-byes now :) ! Things are going to be crazy this next week! I am sure that I will see you shortly after I return!!!!

Getting ready for THE trip!!

I figured I would try this Blog thing, since everyone else in my family did one while they were gone!
It is hard to believe that we are under the two week mark! I remember last summer when we first found out about our trip thinking that this day will never arrive! Now, I feel like I don't have enough time to get everything done before we are to leave!
The last two weeks I have been busy trying to get all the projects done! Thankfully last night, Devon's baseball game was cancelled, which allowed me to stay home and get a ton of stuff done! The picture that is on here is one of the arm bustles that Jacob & I finished for his Costume!
I will try to keep my posts updated, so everyone can see what I am up to!
Hope everyone enjoys it!
